Darwin Realty Sells Free-Standing Kane County Property
(Elmhurst, Illinois – December 4, 2015) Darwin Realty is pleased to announce that it has facilitated the sale of 1616 Berkley Street, Elgin, Illinois.
Noel S. Liston and Brendan J. Sheahan of Darwin Realty represented First Community Bank in the sale to Simplomatic Manufacturing, which is relocating from a Chicago site on Kostner Avenue.
The property is 42,000 square feet, on 3.3 acres featuring 7,500 square feet in office space, 14- to 20-foot clear ceiling heights, four exterior docks, two drive-in doors and expandable parking. The property was a low-cost provider for quality, functional space and one of the last available free-standing facilities in the Kane County industrial market.
Ed Brandt of Transwestern represented the buyer, Simplomatic, a third-generation family owned business that offers plastic injection molding and CNC controlled injection molding presses and servo driven stamping presses.
